PPF & Vinyl Wrap in North Atlanta

Every mile on GA-400, I-75 or I-575 throws debris at the front of your vehicle. Paint protection film is the only thing that actually stops a rock chip before it reaches your paint. Vinyl wrap is how you change the way the car looks without ever touching the factory finish underneath. Autocraft installs both at your home or office, anywhere across North Atlanta.

3M Certified Installers

Autocraft is a 3M Certified Installer for paint protection film and vinyl. That certification is not a sticker. It means our installers are trained and accredited on 3M film systems and installation standards, and that the work is done to the manufacturer specification rather than to whatever the shop feels like that day.

It shows up in the parts you cannot see from ten feet away: how edges are wrapped around panel lines, how compound curves are handled without stretch marks, and how the film looks two years later instead of two weeks later.

What paint protection film is

PPF is a clear urethane film, far thicker and more elastic than any coating, applied to the panels that take the punishment. It absorbs impacts that would otherwise chip your clear coat down to primer.

Quality film is also self-healing. Light scratches and swirl marks in the film close up on their own with heat. A hot day, or warm water from a hose. Installed properly it is nearly invisible: the goal is that nobody can tell it is there except you, when the hood is still perfect three years later.

Why the front end takes the damage

Georgia highways are a rock-chip machine. Construction on 400 and 575 is constant, gravel and grit collect on the shoulders and get thrown by every truck ahead of you, and summer heat that softens asphalt loosens more of it.

Look at the front bumper of any three-year-old car that commutes into Atlanta. That constellation of small white dots is not neglect. It is simply what unprotected paint looks like after a few thousand highway miles, and it is one of the first things an appraiser marks down at trade-in.

Paint protection film packages

Choose based on how you drive and how much of the vehicle you want covered. PPF is quoted per vehicle because coverage depends on the panels and the model.

Vinyl wrap. A new colour, reversible

Vinyl wrap covers your existing paint in a coloured or textured film. Satin black, gloss colour shift, matte grey, chrome delete on the trim, all without a respray and all reversible.

Two things make wrap worth considering over paint. It protects the factory finish while it is on, so the paint underneath stays original. And when you sell the car the wrap comes off and the original colour is still there, unmarked. A respray does the opposite: it permanently changes the car, and most buyers treat repainted panels as a warning sign.

Wrapping a vehicle to promote a business is a different job with different material and design work. That is covered on our vehicle graphics and commercial wraps page.

Film or coating, or both?

They are not competing products. The setup we install most often is film across the front end and coating over the rest of the car, including over the film itself.

Film stops impacts

Physical armour. Rock chips, road debris and scratches on the panels it covers. Self-healing on light marring.

Coating stops chemistry

UV fade, oxidation, water spots and staining across the whole vehicle, and far less effort every wash. See ceramic coating.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be able to see the film?

Not from a normal viewing distance when it is installed well. Edges are wrapped around panel lines wherever the panel allows it, so there is no visible line across the middle of a surface.

How long does PPF last?

Quality film on a well-kept vehicle lasts years, not months. Lifespan depends on the film, the exposure and how the car is washed. We give you a straight answer for the film we are quoting rather than a number from a brochure.

Can film be removed later?

Yes. Removed properly it comes off without damaging the paint underneath. That is the entire point. Paint under film is usually in better condition than the paint around it.

Can you wrap just part of the car?

Yes. Chrome delete, roof, mirrors and accent panels are common partial jobs and much cheaper than a full wrap.

Should I coat the film too?

It helps. A coating over PPF makes the film easier to clean and adds UV protection to the film itself. We can do both in one visit.
